A usual day on Scott Manley's channel brings in a little over two hundred thousand views across everything he has ever posted. His orbit-day video drew more than that on its own, well over half a million in its first twenty-four hours.

"Orbit Day - Starship Finally Takes A Big Leap" caps a run that started with "Starship's 14th Flight - Orbiting Safely?", the question-mark version posted before the answer was in. Between the two came "Starship Seen From Starlink - In Color For First Time!", views of the vehicle captured from SpaceX's own satellite network. The newest upload, "Superheavy Launch - Ultra Slow Motion," is only hours old and already moving briskly. For a Scottish astrophysicist who made his name explaining orbits through Kerbal Space Program, a Starship reaching orbit is about as on-brand as a week gets.

The Starship run began with two quieter uploads from earlier in the week: a look at what runs on America's fastest supercomputer, and an experiment, billed with five question marks, in flying a spaceship with a DJ mixer.

The channel as a whole ran a little above its normal pace. Most science neighbors ran below theirs, Reed Timmer and Chris Boden included, which makes Scott Manley's week one of the brighter spots in the group.
