Three people suspected of helping model Shraddha Dubey leave Lucknow and reach Nepal have been identified, India's Hindi-language news channel Aaj Tak reports, as police investigate businessman Shiva Sharma's death.
Anchor Sumit Chaubey and correspondent Ashish Shrivastava describe investigators gathering evidence about people who allegedly arranged transport, accommodation and financial support while Dubey was on the run. Lucknow is the capital of the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
Although the broadcast's introduction describes Dubey as a fugitive, Shrivastava subsequently reports that she and two other suspects are in jail. The central update concerns assistance allegedly provided during her earlier flight, rather than a continuing search for her.
The report traces the case back to a police complaint filed by Sharma's mother alleging murder. Its reconstruction follows arrangements for a flat and travel involving Nepal and Nagpur, a city in central India. These are the broadcaster's account of the investigation, not findings of guilt.
Apartment-building CCTV is another focus. Footage shows Dubey, Sharma and another person descending stairs. The broadcast also includes an interview with flat owner Ajay Rai, who says Dubey objected when he installed security cameras. His account describes a past disagreement; it does not establish responsibility for Sharma's death.
The report closes with Shrivastava describing police efforts to establish the role of those suspected of helping the accused.
