Break The Sealing Block With Sledgehammer – Traditional Pond Drainage Shaft In Action

The water surges through. At the bottom of a stone shaft, a worker in green waterproof coveralls swings a long-handled sledgehammer against a sealing block while colleagues call down from above.

Wisdom Pouchannel's pond-drainage Short has reached about 458,000 views in 21 hours, an unusually quick start for the channel's short uploads. The action is compressed into seconds: repeated blows loosen the blockage, then water and muddy debris pour through faster as the voices overhead become more urgent.

The channel's description explains the structure behind that small, crowded scene. A vertical stone shaft connects to a buried horizontal tunnel beneath the pond. A temporary plug holds the water back; breaking it allows water to drain from the bottom, for irrigation or to empty the pond for fishing and dredging.

This is a working drainage operation, not a household tip. The description warns of sudden rushing water, slippery moss and dangerous gases inside the confined shaft.

Another workshop process is also drawing an unusually fast audience on Wisdom Pouchannel: an electric chain hoist pulls thick timber pieces together for casket panels. There, powered tension replaces manual wedges. In the drainage shaft, the release still comes down to a worker swinging a hammer.
