Ellie's Star Wars coffee break becomes Viva La Dirt League's trivia test

Rowan demands an exhaustive character list, then exposes a rather large gap in his own knowledge.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Viva La Dirt League had one of the busiest weeks among its nearby sketch-comedy peers, with The Johnson Brothers also drawing a particularly large audience. Across fifteen uploads, though, the most watched new arrival found its comedy in something smaller: a colleague refusing to believe Ellie knows Star Wars.

Posted under the title "only biddy blas fans can scrib doon in the comments," the staged Playtech sketch has reached roughly 3.4 million views. Rowan spots Ellie's Star Wars coffee press and turns her break into an unsolicited entrance exam. She handles his birthplace question, calls out the gatekeeping and obliges when he demands every character's name.

The trap is entirely Rowan's own. When Ellie identifies Anakin Skywalker as Darth Vader, he summons Adam and Alan to share his amusement at an answer he doesn't realize is correct. Viewers are discussing the absurdity of fandom quizzes, the helmet confusion and the blank-phone excuse Rowan reaches for when retreat becomes necessary.

Elsewhere, "World of Warcraft nostalgia bait" has the channel's strongest daily momentum. The Skycraft-themed episode is sponsored by WoW Forever and Blizzard. "\"\"\"\"Childrens\"\"\"\" show" and "What company allows this?!" are also among the uploads bringing in views fastest right now.

The channel added about 30,000 subscribers over seven days, while daily viewing is running comfortably above its usual pace. Alongside the gaming comedy, Rowan has kept workplace absurdity in circulation: "Changing TechTown's name" gives him a branding refresh to organize, with outside help that the description confidently bills as the best man for the job.

Okay, there has to be a Perry the Platypus joke in there somewhere.
  • Adam timidly refusing to let Rowan off the hook 🤣
  • I Think trying to Name every star wars character would take a few days because even background characters have names and story's behind them
