The Interrupters - "Back From The Dead"
A bouquet of red roses is waiting for someone, but the doctor approaching Aimee Interrupter doesn't appear to have good news. The band's new video sets its hospital drama against something considerably less subdued: all four members performing in a hospital room.
"Back From The Dead" reached nearly 40,000 views in its first 13 hours, putting it well ahead of the channel's usual start. It also gives the band's next chapter a name and a date: Battle Scars is due January 29, 2027, following October's "Warrior Spirit."
Director Ryan Baxley cuts between Aimee's walk through the hallway and the band's performance. There's a covered figure on a gurney, a bouquet laid down, and a late reveal that changes the meaning of the visit. This is a staged music video, with its hospital mystery unfolding alongside the song.
Kevin Bivona and Rancid's Tim Armstrong share production credits, with additional production from Bad Religion's Brett Gurewitz. Armstrong also contributes guitar, while Kevin adds Hammond organ alongside his guitar and vocals.
The comments are already looking beyond the screen to the stage. One listener singles out the pacing, chord changes and mixture of genres; others are planning spring concert visits. For one couple, an April show will be an anniversary present. The video description lays out a 2027 itinerary stretching from North America to European headline shows and festivals.
