Speed Bump Garage gives Marty McFly a Volkswagen time machine

AJ's costume gets a matching Beetle, complete with glowing thrusters and a homemade flux capacitor.

Vacuum hoses, a metal bowl and painted wooden ducts aren't standard time-travel equipment, but Jack makes them look the part. For AJ's Marty McFly costume, Speed Bump Garage transforms a silver Volkswagen Beetle into its own version of Back to the Future's DeLorean.

The curved rear windshield takes some ingenuity: Jack cuts suction cups to mount the thrusters, then adds colored puck lights and purple LEDs. An OUTATIME plate completes the exterior. AJ brings his own contribution, a foil-covered flux capacitor with fairy lights. The road test ends with an edited disappearance in flames, not an actual leap through time.

That family build was the bigger of the channel's two uploads, passing 1.1 million views. Viewers picked out Jack's Doc Brown coat, the extra duct tape and the familiar requirement to reach 88 miles an hour. One even recalled turning a Volkswagen Scirocco into a charity time machine.

The other new arrival, "Junkyard Find 🤯", drew roughly three-quarters of a million views. Meanwhile, the month-old "Pull Start Bug 🪲💨 #VW" remains busy, second only to the time-machine build for daily viewing, with "Forgotten Honda Odyssey 🛠️" also continuing to add views.

Subscribers held steady over the week, while daily viewing is modestly above the garage's usual level. Nearby motoring channels including Vice Grip Garage and Vehicle Virgins are having quieter viewing days than usual. Here, a Beetle with homemade movie props has given the father-and-sons workshop its freshest burst of attention.
