An Aldi full English and a chef's fixes for limited-edition snacks

Chef James and Normal Mike cooked two English breakfasts side by side, one on premium kit and one on Aldi's, in one of nine uploads from the London studio.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Of the cooking channels nearest Sorted Food in size, the clearly busy ones are The Plant Slant, running at more than twice its usual daily pace, and Ian Fujimoto, comfortably above his. Sorted, meanwhile, simply kept its promise of new videos through the week, and nine went up.

The newest is the quickest. In "Chef Taste Tests Then FIXES Limited Edition Food Products," the team works through odd brand collaborations, and Kush then makes his own version of one of them to see if he can do better. Half a day after it went up, it was already moving faster than anything else on the channel.

Behind it sits the Aldi test, where Chef James and Normal Mike each cook a full English, one with the cookware already in the kitchen and one with the supermarket's cheaper equivalents. It and the convenience-store challenge, in which Baz and Mike pitch corner-shop finds to Chef Ben and Jamie, are both close to 600,000 views.

The week also brought a walnut-themed surprise game show, made with California Walnuts and guest Chef Danhi, where members of the Sorted community unknowingly played for a trip to California. And a short revived the Presto Pizzazz, a rotating pizza oven from the 2000s that the team calls a £25 air fryer just for pizza.

The subscriber count sits at a round three million, a neat figure for a group whose about text still describes them as mates trying to become awesome home cooks.
