PLAYING GAMES ON ROBLOX *LIVE*

Fingerless gloves, platform heels, a choker and a scythe nearly as tall as the avatar carrying it: Shrekyou21's first runway look of the night comes armed.

Her latest Roblox stream carries the same plain title as her other recent broadcasts, "PLAYING GAMES ON ROBLOX *LIVE*", and drew close to 1.3 million views in its first six hours. Inside is a Dress to Impress session, the game behind most of the Shorts that made her channel known, played on webcam in headphones and a pink-lit room, with a reference picture pinned to one side of the screen and chat consulted at every step.

The opening theme is KPOP DEMON HUNTERS, and she sets out to mirror the film's anime heroine. The magical girl hair refuses to turn up ("I don't know where it is, guys!"), the face and hair colors take several attempts, and at one point she is sure the whole thing is lost: "Oh no, I think I've ruined it, guys!" Some accessories get trimmed for safety, too: "They're way too pointy, and we don't want to stab anyone!" The runway is kinder than her worries. Her avatar finishes first.

For the freestyle round she goes back to a favorite, Agnes from Despicable Me, last seen on her runway days ago. This time the overalls and hair accessories come first, then the unicorn, assembled from a teddy bear and a horn while she reassures chat: "I promise it's going to look like a unicorn once we're done, okay?"

Agnes walks the runway with it in her arms, and Shrekyou21 sings along to the music, as she does through most of the stream.
