Sailing Nahoa posted nothing new this week, but Ben and Ashley's small diesel cruiser has been keeping the adventure going. "Why We Bought This Pocket Diesel Cruiser," posted in late October, carries the strongest daily momentum among the channel's older uploads, with roughly 70,000 views in total.
The journey starts in the bilge, not beside a waterfall. Ben removes a seized pump clogged with hair, grime and a screw, replaces an old fuse box and updates the batteries before the family heads toward Princess Louisa Inlet. "I bought this boat cheap for one reason. She was broken," he says.
Getting underway doesn't quite end the repairs. When the trim switch fails, Ben opens the dashboard and improvises a way to operate the controls with a bolt. Beyond that interruption come sheer granite cliffs, a dock near Chatterbox Falls and the practical puzzle of making a little boat sleep a family. Ashley prepares the v-berth; Ben makes his bed on the deck floor.
Across the catalog, the channel collected roughly 112,000 views during the upload break. Subscribers held steady, while daily viewing is running below its usual pace. Nearby travel channels Jess & Jake and Chris Howett had substantially busier viewing weeks; Jim Zim's weekly total was close to Sailing Nahoa's.
The bigger boat project also remains in the picture. "Why Aluminum ALONE is NOT the Answer" is another of the uploads drawing daily views, examining rudder design, haul-outs and fit-out details for the planned Nahoa M expedition catamaran. Between that long-range build and the Monaro's makeshift sleeping arrangements, Ben and Ashley are exploring two very different sizes of adventure.
