In Rufus Goodboy's "WhY aM i CrYiNg? 😭🫡", a dachshund runs toward a small dog waiting on a leash. The sniffing and jumping are real dog greetings; the wartime romance is a comedic voiceover, with the creator supplying both characters. Gerald announces his return, Margaret recognizes his scent, and then comes the complication: believing him dead, she married his brother.

Gerald's bewildered response ends the miniature soap opera. Viewers are picking up on the marriage twist, the dramatic delivery and those furiously moving tails. One also points out the cyclist passing behind this supposedly momentous reunion.

The sketch reached about 1.5 million views, making it the most-watched new upload of a busy week. "MoRe TricK ThaN TrEaT 🧸🤨" also passed a million. But the newer "ThEy GrOw uP sO FaSt 🐮🥹", credited to Bob Gramsma Artist, currently has the most momentum, drawing views faster than either. The older beach misadventure "ThE SeA sHeLL BiT mE! 🦀🐕" remains among the channel's busiest videos too.

Rufus Goodboy added about 67,000 subscribers over the week. Daily viewing is currently below its usual level, but its weekly views gain was the largest among the nearby pet-and-animal channels. WeRateDogs also has daily viewing above its usual level; Jason Corey's is close to normal. For Rufus Goodboy, this week's distinctive contribution is a reunion that takes barely twenty seconds to acquire a complicated family history.
