An entire spare set of exhaust headers, bought for one little valve cover: RRC Restoration's Yamaha R1 project has reached the stage where small missing pieces can mean surprisingly large purchases.

There were no new uploads this week, but part seven is the channel's busiest video by daily views, with roughly 243,000 views altogether. The restorer opens the garage with a teasing suggestion of a jumpscare, then gets back to the less theatrical business of removing oxidation and connecting the EXUP exhaust-valve servo cables.

The footpegs and side stand get particularly methodical treatment. Components are sorted on the bench for vapour blasting, replating or powder coating, with the stand cured in a home-built prototype oven. Cleaned hardware returns to the bike, bolts get their torque-wrench check, and a gold X-ring chain goes onto the sprockets. This is restoration at the brackets-and-fasteners level, not just a shiny-fairings reveal.

Across the channel, weekly viewing added about 166,000 views while subscribers stayed unchanged. Daily viewing is currently around a third of its usual level. Nearby motorcycle channel Srkcycles also has slower-than-usual daily viewing, while Sky Sports F1 is enjoying a much busier spell.

The Yamaha isn't the only machine keeping the archive turning. "The Ultimate Mini Bike Revival: 1980 Honda Z50R" is the next-busiest upload by daily views, offering a complete teardown-to-reassembly project rather than another chapter of the superbike build.
