Rob Zombie's Michael Myers returns to Rotten Tomatoes Classic Trailers
The archive's only new upload revisits the 2007 remake, with Tyler Mane behind the mask and Malcolm McDowell as Dr. Loomis.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Halloween (2007) Trailer #1 | Rob Zombie
Rotten Tomatoes Classic Trailers added just one trailer this week, choosing a Michael Myers who spends part of his time making paper masks before returning to his more familiar one.
"Halloween (2007) Trailer #1 | Rob Zombie" moves from Michael's institutional confinement to his escape and return to Haddonfield. Malcolm McDowell's Dr. Loomis supplies the warning; Scout Taylor-Compton's Laurie Strode becomes the focus of the pursuit. This is an archival theatrical trailer for Zombie's remake, not a new installment, and its original summer-release cards remain part of the time capsule.
The upload has drawn roughly 8,400 views. In the comments, one viewer remembers seeing the film with their brother in theaters, while another finds the very idea of the 2000s belonging in a classics archive a little confronting. Others make the case for giving the remake and its sequel another look.
Horror also supplies the archive's strongest momentum: the new trailer is adding views at a similar daily pace to "Stephen King's It (1990) Trailer #1 | Tim Curry". Farther down that selection, Fly Away Home offers a gentler change of scenery with Anna Paquin, Jeff Daniels and migrating geese.
Across the library, the channel added about 6.2 million views over the week, while subscribers remained unchanged. Daily viewing is modestly above its usual level. Among nearby film channels, Warner Bros. Classics had a substantially larger viewing week; Rotten Tomatoes Classic Trailers sits fourth for weekly views gained in that group, with a single new arrival amid a much larger archive.
