Priyanka Karki's 'Mahol Garam' finds its heat on day three

Film channels were running slow across the board, from Warner Bros. to Pixar, and OSR Digital was no exception. Its overall daily views sat well under their normal level. One new upload moved the other way.

"Mahol Garam," an item song from the Nepali film "PRATIBAIRAM," went up on September 27 and had an ordinary first day, under 50,000 views. Then it took off. It is now gathering more than 700,000 views a day, around forty times what a video like this usually manages on the channel.

The title, which roughly means "heated atmosphere," credits actress Priyanka Karki and Samrat Das, along with Hritika Shrestha. Karki is one of the better-known faces of Nepali cinema, and here she fronts a dance number rather than a dramatic scene.

The change stands out for this channel. A few days earlier, episodes of the serial "Buhari" were pulling ahead of the movie promotions. This time a film song has the channel's biggest day.
