Cyclone Arnab's threat extends beyond India's battered eastern coastline in a report that projects weakening winds but continuing rain as the system moves inland toward .

Meteorologist Gayatri Vani says the storm is expected to weaken and move north-northwest over the following two days. Her explanation appears in Indian Hindi-language news channel NDTV India's October 28 broadcast, presented by Syed Suhail, which combines coastal damage footage with a wider review of state weather alerts.

The opening images show seawater covering roads in Chennai, vehicles surrounded by water, and damaged roads and strong winds in and Puducherry. In Bhubaneswar, 's capital, footage shows heavy rain, fallen trees and disrupted power lines. Andhra Pradesh and Odisha both face the Bay of Bengal, while Chhattisgarh lies inland to their north and west.

Vani places the cyclone's landfall between Bapatla and Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh. S. S. Sudan, a deputy inspector general in the , says 39 rescue teams have been deployed across several states and the territory of Puducherry. Footage also shows Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister reviewing weather-tracking screens in a control center.

Along the coast, warnings are delivered through megaphones in West Bengal, and police clear beaches in Puri, Odisha. Suhail then reviews alerts and administrative instructions covering Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and Chhattisgarh. These are warnings across a broad area, distinct from the coastal damage shown earlier. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister tells reporters that strong winds and rain are possible.

The broadcast also considers the economic stakes, reviewing damage from past Indian cyclones to agriculture and infrastructure rather than establishing a final bill for Arnab. It closes with reporter Rithik Mandal in Gopalpur, Odisha, where uprooted trees and ongoing cleanup bring the report back to the storm's visible aftermath.
