MrBeast Gaming gains subscribers fourteen times faster as a diamond race lands
Around 100,000 new subscribers a day for a channel that usually adds a few thousand, though its daily views are running under their usual level.
Why this story? The channel is adding 100,037 subscribers a day, 14 times a normal day (7,284).
MrBeast Gaming is adding subscribers at roughly fourteen times its normal pace, about 100,000 a day, on a channel that already sits above 60 million.
The newest upload is "First To Mine A Diamond, Keeps It!", the latest in the long line of last-one-standing and first-one-wins challenges the channel is built on. It arrived on a Thursday, only five days after the previous video. That breaks the rhythm of recent months, when uploads came every other Saturday, which is the slot the channel's about text promises. Within its first day it had passed three and a half million views.
The video before it is still the bigger presence. "I Found My 13 Year Old Minecraft World", the one in which the original laptop was gone and the team rebuilt the old world block by block from its seed, has passed 31 million views in under a week. Before that came a hundred days on a single block with Cookie, and a game of Meccha Chameleon with a car for the best hider.
The subscriber rush has not been matched by the views. Daily views are running at well under half their usual level, and the other big Minecraft channels nearby, Aphmau, Maizen and PrestonPlayz among them, are also below their norm. The new subscribers are arriving anyway.
