MrBeast's subscriber count hits 525 million
Another sharp subscriber jump arrives as his LeBron James challenge joins a robot-chore comedy among the channel's recent uploads.
Why this story? The channel is adding 999,711 subscribers a day, 7.6 times a normal day (130,712).
Beat LeBron In Basketball, Win $100,000
MrBeast has added roughly a million subscribers in a day, reaching another round-number milestone just a week after his previous unusually large jump.
That is far beyond his usual daily gain, though it comes without a matching lift in views. Daily viewing is below its typical level, an important distinction for a channel where even an ordinary day brings an enormous audience.
His latest upload, "Beat LeBron In Basketball, Win $100,000", puts a sporting question at the center: can MrBeast beat elite athletes one-on-one? The description names Caitlin Clark, Erling Haaland, Simone Biles and Hardik Pandya among its lineup, with Gordon Ramsay adding a rather different specialty.
The basketball challenge has drawn tens of millions of views since Saturday. So has "Can A Robot Do My Chores?", posted the day before. Neither total explains the subscriber jump on its own, but together the uploads show the range of MrBeast's recent premises: taking on famous athletes and trying to hand the housework to a machine.
