Nikki Delventhal keeps the van shaded and the river close
Her hot-weather routine combines window covers, a cabinet clear-out and a much colder place to spend the afternoon.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 43,531 views a day, 5.6 times a normal first day on this channel (7,817).

The toiletries come out of the upper cabinets and land on the bed. In Nikki Delventhal's van, keeping cool means thinking about more than where to put a fan: the belongings beside those hot exterior walls need moving, too.
Her Short, titled simply "#vanlife", shows how she handles temperatures above 100 degrees Fahrenheit. It has drawn about 19,000 views in seven hours, already more than twice the audience her Shorts usually reach over a full first day.
Nikki starts with the parking position, keeping direct sun off the windows, then doubles up insulation covers to separate the front cab from the living space. She cracks the windows for airflow, explaining that sometimes she wants to hold cool air inside and sometimes she wants air moving through.
The less technical part of the plan is outside. An awning shelters an inflatable couch, and the campsite sits beside a river fed by snowmelt. Nikki grabs a swimsuit, inflates an inner tube and takes the dogs down with a tennis ball.
These are the practical extras on her second channel, where van-home upgrades sit alongside the complications of finding somewhere to sleep. This outing finishes back inside, with leafy greens going into a bowl after the river break.
