LIVE: 2026 MIDTERM ELECTIONS

MeidasTouch has brought its election-night team together: Scott MacFarlane, Katie Phang and Luke Radel reporting from Washington, with Ben, Brett and Jordy Meiselas supplying commentary as midterm results arrive.

"LIVE: 2026 MIDTERM ELECTIONS" drew about 1.3 million views since yesterday. The broadcast offers a sustained alternative to the network's individual political updates, combining reporting with commentary from a progressive outlet that describes its journalism as pro-democracy.

Two of the names will be familiar to viewers of television news. MacFarlane previously covered justice for CBS News and worked as an investigative reporter at NBC Washington. Phang, an attorney and political commentator, hosted The Katie Phang Show on MSNBC.

The stakes extend across Congress and state government, rather than the presidency itself. Alongside the live coverage, MeidasTouch has posted separate updates reporting Democratic Senate flips in Texas and South Carolina, giving viewers shorter, result-focused segments as well as the full election-night broadcast.
