Looking into the camera is apparently not optional. Sienna gives Dawn French a firm bit of vlogging advice on Little Big Shots: "Well, you need to look at the lens, otherwise it's like, literally just talking to the wall."

The six-year-old guest from Brighton explains her craft, demonstrates with a sequinned pillow and brings out packages for a shared unboxing. French, whose comedy career includes French and Saunders and The Vicar of Dibley, gets to be the pupil here. The parcels give her another opportunity to abandon any hostly dignity.

"Dawn French Tries Unboxing with a 6-Year-Old Video Star | Little Big Shots" was the most watched of the channel's three uploads this week, reaching roughly 20,000 views. It is also the busiest upload right now, though Friday's contortion-performance clip is attracting nearly as much daily viewing. Between them came "Steve Harvey Challenges Future Sports Stars | Little Big Shots," a showcase featuring tumblers, a soccer player and a competitive cyclist.

Across the channel, the existing library and new arrivals added about 1.5 million views over the week, while subscribers held steady. Daily viewing is currently a little over half its usual level. In the wider talent-and-reality neighborhood, BondiRescue had a much bigger viewing week, while Idols Global was quieter.

For Little Big Shots, the week's most engaging role reversal is simple: the experienced television host needs a beginner's lesson in where to look.
