‘American Idol’ Contestant Caleb Flynn GUILTY of Wife’s Murder
Most courtroom clips on Law&Crime Trials open to around ten thousand views on their first day. The clip with the jury's verdict in the Caleb Flynn case passed 140,000 in its first eight hours.
The channel had been covering the trial closely. Earlier clips showed testimony about deleted apps, GroupMe messages, and a photo from his wife's phone with Flynn's face crossed out. Each of them started well above the channel's usual pace. The verdict is the one they led up to. As the title puts it, Flynn was found guilty of his wife's murder, and it identifies him as an "American Idol" contestant.
The larger true crime and courts channels were having a slower stretch. Nancy Grace, Willie D Live and Truly Criminal all ran below their usual daily pace. On this clip, comments are coming in almost as quickly as likes, which is not common for a courtroom upload.
