Lizzie Borden and a Texas judge's hit list carry Real Crime

Six new documentaries went up, from the Unabomber case to the Italian mob's reach overseas, while two older films kept drawing the most views.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Twelve days after it went up, "Lizzie Borden: True Story of America's Most Famous Double Murder" is still the busiest video on Real Crime. It revisits the 1892 killings in Fall River, Massachusetts, a case that has outlived nearly every trial of its century. Close behind is "Corrupt Texas Judge Started a Hit List: You Won't Believe Who Was On It," posted a day later and already past 200,000 views.

Six new films arrived this week. The one that started best is "This Father Murdered 3 Women to Outdo His Killer Son." The newest, "How Italy's Deadliest Mobsters Built An Overseas Empire," is picking up speed fastest among the new ones. The week also brought a look at the Unabomber case, told as the path from a Harvard mathematics prodigy to one of the most wanted men in America, plus a long live compilation of murder cases.

The channel as a whole ran somewhat below its usual daily pace. So did nearly every large true crime and courts channel, including 48 Hours, COURT TV and EWU Crime Storytime. Ugo Lord drew by far the biggest daily audience in the group, even in a slower stretch.
