How does a courtroom channel spend the week a jury comes back? Mostly in the courtroom. Court TV posted fifteen videos, and the one drawing the biggest audience is the full eighth day of Ohio v. Caleb Flynn, the session in which the verdict was read. It came close to a million views in under a day and a half.
The Flynn case, billed on the channel as the American Idol murder trial, filled most of the week's other uploads too. Both sides resting, a clip of Flynn breaking down as the guilty verdict was read, and a segment titled around the "crying pastor" all went up within two days. The newest of those clips is gathering views faster than anything posted the same day.
The second-biggest video comes from a different courtroom: a live hearing in Massachusetts v. Lindsay Clancy, followed a day later by a shorter piece on a move by her defense.
Even so, the channel as a whole ran somewhat below its usual daily pace, and subscribers held level. That softer stretch was common across true crime and courts channels. 48 Hours, FilmRise True Crime and Ugo Lord: The Modern Attorney were all quieter than normal, though Ugo Lord still drew the largest daily audience in the group.
