John Wolfe brings the equipment, but he also brings explanations. At the reputedly haunted 1899 South Bolton House in Jacksonville, Texas, his first paranormal investigation pauses to explain how a flashlight works before asking a doll for permission to go upstairs.
That combination of spooky excursion and practical scrutiny gives "We investigated the haunted Bolton House" its character. Justin, introduced as "porg," joins him on camera, with Max filming and contributing from behind it. There are dolls, nighttime listening sessions and an alarming kitchen noise that turns out to involve a box of plastic spoons. The video also contains a sponsored mattress segment.
The Estes Method sessions provide a particularly revealing detail: viewers can hear the spirit-box feed as well as the words the blindfolded listener thinks they hear. Several commenters focus on that contrast, describing the exercise as a strange game of Telephone. Others pick up the plastic-spoon reference and John's recurring "TRUE" edits.
Bolton House has reached about 280,000 views and is comfortably the channel's busiest video right now. Older uploads "Viral clips that actually scared me" and "My thoughts on Zach Cregger's Resident Evil movie" are also drawing fresh viewing, though on a smaller daily scale.
His other new upload, "Birthday Stream / 1 Million Q & A," makes this a week of personal occasions as well as paranormal ones. Subscribers held steady, while daily views are now running at nearly twice their usual level. Among nearby variety-gaming channels, Little Z is also having a busier-than-usual spell; Two Much Grian is quieter. For Wolfe, the distinctive change is getting out of the reaction chair and trying the ghost-hunting tools himself.

@brianhead2709See it on YouTubeI appreciate actually getting to hear the other end of the estes method. It really puts into perspective how unreliable something like that is. It also makes it WAY funnier.

Had me absolutely cracking up 😂😂@midnightriot2454See it on YouTubeOkay, I can definitely see why the Estus method is so popular with youtubers. Even putting aside anything to do with the effectiveness of it (or lack thereof), it just seems like a lot of fun to attempt to have a conversation with incoherent bites of radio static, filtered through one of your friends. It's a spooky, silly game of Telephone.
@gayrurumonSee it on YouTubeThe pack of plastic spoons killed me 😂
@abbaalincoln1720See it on YouTubeI want to believe in ghosts more than I actually believe in them. I love the idea of ghosts and hauntings. I've had "experiences" that I can't explain with certainty, but I'm a skeptic at heart. I loved this video. The three guys had me cracking up!
