33,000 feet up and down: Jeremy Miller's Swiss Alps 100 film
The race film the comments had been waiting for went up twice, a few days apart, while a Skechers shoe review kept carrying the channel.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
The Hardest 100 Miles of My Life
What does a hundred miles in the Swiss Alps look like from the inside? Jeremy Miller answered it this week with "The Hardest 100 Miles of My Life," his film of the Swiss Alps 100, a 160-kilometer ultramarathon with, by his own description, 33,000 feet of climbing and just as much descent.
The description frames it as a story about what he calls voluntary suffering: choosing hard things on purpose, so you are ready when life picks them for you. It also says you do not need to run a hundred miles to try it. Pick your own hard thing and start.
The comments read like a finish line. Several people say they had been waiting for this one, and many talk about the scenery and the camera work. One runner who finished hours behind him describes nursing a knee with trekking poles for most of the course. Another says they played it during the last miles of their own 100-miler. A few remember the moment a little one called Victor found him out on the course.
The film went up twice, the second time a few days after the first under the same title. The original is past 130,000 views. The newer copy is still near the start of its run.
The real engine of the channel, though, is still last month's Skechers Aero Burst review, as we reported here. It is closing in on two million views and is still drawing far more each day than anything else on the shelf. Behind it come a Hawaii run from September and then the Alps film.
All together, the channel drew more views over the week than any of the fitness channels near its size. Riley Loos also had a big week, and Kris Hui stayed steady. About 3,000 new subscribers arrived along the way.

I turned this on at mile 91 of my 100 miler. Its crazy how you talking about the pain of ultras and how you turn it into pleasure really helped me. I took the pain I was feeling and almost smiled at it. You helped me those last few miles
@chacet09See it on YouTubeSaw the first 29 seconds on my phone. Going to pause and finish on my 75 inch tv with Sonos surround sound 🫡
@Yambeezy23See it on YouTubeAwesome video! I finished ~7.5 hours behind you. It was about the closest thing I've found to a real adventure, in this day and age.
Tweaked my knee only a few hours into the race, and was basically using my trekking poles as crutches on the downhills very early on (even approaching the dam, mile 22-24). Figured I would just keep pushing until I couldn't walk any more; honestly didn't think I'd even make it to mile 50...but somehow kept moving and surprised myself with a buckle.
Your finish time on this course is crazy impressive.@matthewrodgers1094See it on YouTube
