The cheers come first. Jon Ossoff introduces Kamala Harris, who walks onstage, embraces the Georgia senator and calls out to students from Morehouse, Clark Atlanta and Spelman before turning to the election.
Hook Global's upload of the Atlanta University Center rally reached about 240,000 views in thirteen hours, an unusually fast start for the channel's regular videos. The footage, credited onscreen to Reuters, follows both speakers rather than stopping at the enthusiastic welcome promised by its title.
Ossoff opens by saying young Georgians have already broken the state's youth-turnout record for a midterm election. He criticizes the administration over prices, foreign conflicts and voting, then hands the stage to the former vice president.
Harris addresses Gen Z directly. "Don't ever let anybody take your power from you," she tells the students. Her argument connects voting with the decades of decisions that will shape their lives, before she attacks the Trump administration over healthcare, Medicaid and food assistance.
The setting gives that appeal a particular context: the Atlanta University Center brings together historically Black colleges and universities. Harris acknowledges the campuses and the Divine Nine, the historically Black fraternity and sorority organizations.
Hook Global also posted a separate Harris speech edit and fast-starting coverage of Abdul El-Sayed's Michigan campaigning. But the Atlanta upload includes a quieter passage beyond the election attacks. Near the end, Harris tells students they may enter professional rooms as the only person like them. She urges them to remember the community behind them, keep their shoulders back and speak with confidence.
