Riley Murdock opens GameLinked's "Somehow, They Did It" with two very different verdicts on the Ocarina of Time remake: critics are praising it, and an experimental emulator is already booting it on PC.
The remake has a Metacritic score of 96, Murdock reports. But the distinction in his emulation update matters: he describes Lichii as very new and highly experimental, not as a polished alternative to playing on the console.
The Nintendo-led bulletin drew an estimated 230,000 views in its first day, far beyond GameLinked's usual opening. It follows the channel's previous episode about Switch 2 exclusives running on PC, but this time a particular return to Hyrule gives the technical story a familiar face.
Elsewhere, Murdock reports that an influx of AI-generated game submissions is contributing to longer Steam review waits. The episode also contains a paid HTC Viverse segment.
The shorter headlines offer their own mixture of anticipation and absurdity. Bethesda's next Elder Scrolls gets the name Sentinel, while Guild Wars gets an expansion called Afterlife. In the comments, viewers turn the Elder Scrolls announcement into jokes about how much longer a name is going to take to become a playable game.
Then comes the hardware with teeth: Murdock closes the roundup with Xbox's Series X-BITE, a working console housed inside an animatronic alligator.
