Steve checks his swing, taps his bat on the ground and resets for another chance. The ball hasn't gone anywhere: it's hovering on a stream of air above an inflatable backyard baseball game.

That contrast is the joke in the clip shared by Fuzzy, the baseball highlights and clips channel. Steve brings a batter's routine to a game with scoring targets on its inflatable backdrop, while the person filming supplies encouragement as though a difficult pitcher is waiting on the mound.

"Here we go now, Stevey. Come on now, kid," the off-camera voice urges. Steve eventually takes a full swing, drives the ball into the target zone and hops out of the batter's area to celebrate.

The Short drew an estimated 300,000 views in its first day. Two other Fuzzy clips posted the same day also started well above the channel's usual pace, though the backyard batting game drew the most views of the three.

Viewers have found a little pitching drama in the stationary setup, too. One points out that the hovering ball does wobble slightly; another jokingly takes credit for pitching it.
