Dewsbury-Hall supplies the chances in Everton's Newcastle highlights
Barry's finish and Pickford's late save bookend a busy attacking display, as the short highlights draw around 600,000 first-day views.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 602,740 views a day, 39 times a normal first day on this channel (15,615).
NEWCASTLE v EVERTON | Premier League Highlights ▶️🔵
Thierno Barry gets the goal and the touchline dance. But Everton's short Newcastle highlights also give plenty of space to Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, whose passing keeps opening up the home defence.
The clip has drawn around 600,000 views in its first day, roughly forty times the usual start for Everton's Shorts. It captures the league victory that followed the club's cup win over the same opponents, a double we covered as we reported here.
Dewsbury-Hall is involved before the breakthrough, creating a close-range opportunity that Armstrong misses just before half-time. After the interval, he feeds Tyrique George, and Barry puts the ball over the line following the goalkeeper's fumble. Later, Dewsbury-Hall tests the keeper himself with a long-range effort tipped over the bar.
His contribution is a recurring subject in the comments: viewers discuss his playmaking and make the case for an England call-up. That conversation has a companion upload on the club's channel, with James Tarkowski backing his teammate for England recognition.
The highlights are not all Everton chances. After headers from Branthwaite and O'Brien are kept out, Newcastle threaten late on. Pickford, already moving the wrong way, saves with his feet to protect the narrow lead. Everton has also posted extended highlights and an On The Road film with footage from pitchside and beyond.

What made it even more satisfactory was that it was well earned also footballing wise!
All our players played their part in a solid team performance.
Still once again Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, by his forceful and intelligent playmaking, was our man of the match.
