A toothpaste-scrubbed beauty blender and DermAngelo's 'I hate this…'
The dermatologist's reaction short passed 400,000 views in three days, one of fifteen uploads in his week.

DermAngelo, the board-certified dermatologist who spends his days reacting to other people's skincare ideas, posted fifteen shorts this week. The one that traveled furthest is "I hate this…", in which the target is not a face at all but a makeup sponge being scrubbed clean with toothpaste.
Viewers have mostly piled on the sponge. The most liked comments point out that it looks the same before and after, wonder whether the toothpaste was mixed up with dish soap, and doubt that any makeup artist really passed this tip along. One commenter who says they are a dentist adds that people will use dental products for anything except teeth. Plenty of others simply share their own methods, from cleansing oil to buying a fresh pack of sponges.
The newest short may be the one to watch. "You hate sticky skincare" went up on Sunday and is gathering views faster than anything else on the channel, while "First thing I do in Paris" keeps a steady pace beside it. Not every upload took off: a huge ear cyst, usually a safe bet in this corner of the internet, drew a quieter crowd.
The week as a whole ran well above the channel's usual pace, with about nine million views added and a few thousand new subscribers. Among beauty, skincare and hair channels of a similar size, only milky gathered more views over the week. Several neighbors, Lavish Krish and Maria Aiello among them, had calmer weeks than usual. DermAngelo now sits at 955,000 subscribers, with the round million in sight.
