Dressed as Ryland Grace from Project Hail Mary, Chris Stuckmann reaches the end of an assignment he wasn't sure he could finish: a video for every day of October. "I did not think that I could do 31 videos in 31 days, but I did it..." he says in his annual Halloween special.
The finish is "Godzilla Minus Zero - Movie Review", which drew roughly 168,000 views in its first fourteen hours, the largest audience for any of his seven uploads this week. The review includes a sponsored BenQ projector segment.
Stuckmann calls Minus One his favorite Godzilla movie, so the follow-up has a particularly personal standard to meet. He praises Minus Zero's effects, orchestral score and monster action, including King Ghidorah, but ultimately prefers the earlier film's pacing and cleaner narrative. His discussion returns to what makes the destruction matter: the human grief beneath the spectacle.
The rest of the week's selection stretches from Gerard Butler's vampire turn in "Dracula 2000 - Movie Review" to Anthony Perkins returning as Norman Bates in "Psycho II - Movie Review". Guillermo del Toro's Ron Perlman-led Hellboy supplies another comic-book creature, while Elvira and the Australian horror film Next of Kin broaden the lineup.
Godzilla is attracting the most viewing now, followed by Hellboy and the previous week's Wildwood review. Across the channel, the library added nearly a million views over the week. Subscribers held steady, while daily viewing is currently a little below its usual level. Nearby in movie commentary, MovieFlame is drawing above-usual daily viewing; Jeremy Jahns is running quieter than usual.
Under Stuckmann's finale, viewers recall years spent watching his October specials and childhood fascination with Michael, Jason and Freddy. The marathon has become a recurring memory as well as a viewing list.

I think we all looked at Michael, Jason and Freddy the same way at that age. The mystery was the charm.
