Luxury SUVs supplied carwow's biggest new audiences, even with four generations of Ferrari V12s sharing the schedule. Mat Watson's BMW X5 comparison was the week's most-watched upload, while his Utah visit with Audi's SQ9 is now drawing the most daily views on the channel.
The X5 review gets beyond the redesigned grille and into the question that makes a new-versus-old comparison useful: is different actually better? Watson examines the display running along the windshield base, the steering wheel controls and cabin materials before taking the car onto the road. His assessment of one change is blunt: "It's change for change's sake. It's not actually progress, it's just different."
Viewers have their own practical concerns. Screen-based air-vent adjustment comes up repeatedly, while several question whether comparing an older car without the same equipment packages gives the outgoing generation a fair showing. These are arguments about everyday use and specification, not just whether the new front end photographs well.
There is a lighter moment when the assisted-driving system activates an indicator automatically, prompting Watson to invoke BMW drivers' reputation for forgetting them. The review also includes a sponsored vehicle-history-check segment.
Elsewhere, the Ferrari gathering puts the 599 GTB, F12, 812 GTS and 12Cilindri Spider on the quarter mile. The Porsche 911 Carrera and Tesla Cybertruck pairing remains another busy viewing stop.
Across the channel, roughly 32 million views and 100,000 additional subscribers made this a substantial week. Daily viewing is above its usual level. Among nearby motoring channels, Donut is also seeing above-usual daily activity, while ChrisFix and WhistlinDiesel are quieter than normal. For carwow, the newest source of momentum is that spacious, V8-powered Audi.
