"Hey we have a huge problem, the throttle's sticking open," Adam LZ says during practice at Long Beach. His final Formula Drift round has rather more to sort out than a farewell speech.
In "My Last Round of Formula Drift - FD LB2 Podium", the team investigates a possible nitrous-related problem, then tackles a coolant leak. Driving without nitrous means leaning harder on clutch kicks, and Adam worries about how much punishment the clutch can take. Night qualifying brings another adjustment: a darker, colder track.
There is paddock levity, too, with Vaughn Gittin Jr. arriving on a bicycle to chat and tease him about their tandem runs. Several viewers remember discovering Formula Drift through Adam; others ask that the competition car keep getting driven rather than becoming a shop ornament.
That farewell was the most watched of his three uploads, reaching roughly 366,000 views. But "Why I Quit Formula Drift", posted afterward, has the strongest momentum now. Its description frames it as a fuller explanation of his decision to step down from the championship, rather than leaving the announcement to the event vlog alone.
The third upload, "The Most Wanted Car Collection", takes a different route through his automotive interests. It is a paid partnership with eBay Motors and eBay Live, built around gaming-inspired cars and Adam's memories of dreaming about cars he encountered in video games.
Across the channel, the week brought about 823,000 views while subscribers held steady. Daily viewing is a little below its usual level. Nearby motoring channels have had busier viewing weeks, notably Forrest's Auto Reviews, but Adam's week has a particularly personal focus: one last competition outing, followed by the explanation viewers were waiting for.
