This Dog Found the Sweetest Way to Ask for a Game

A green tote bag hangs on a wooden fence, stocked with tennis balls and a handwritten invitation: "Feel free to throw me a ball." It is signed Harvey. Behind the fence, a yellow Labrador wags his tail, ready for someone to accept.

"Oh, this is the cutest thing," the passerby filming says, reaching into the bag. A throw sends Harvey running down the narrow yard beside the house. He returns with the ball and drops it near the fence, making another round easy enough to arrange.

Posted by Brighter Paws as "This Dog Found the Sweetest Way to Ask for a Game," the Short has drawn roughly 230,000 views before its first full day is over. Its pace is about six times the channel's usual Shorts start, and the comment section is already several times busier than a typical first day.

Viewers pick up on Harvey bringing the ball back to the fence, while others say they would have trouble leaving. Some also question how much running space the yard offers.

Harvey's invitation arrives alongside renewed attention for "This Rat Collected the Cheese Tax in Full" and "My Dog Was Not Ready for Rain Mode," the latter now past ten million views. Here, though, the setup needs only a bag, a note and a willing throwing arm.
