BAS Renovations takes a posting break, not a building break

The Michigan builder's framing demonstrations helped bring in more than ten million views without a new upload.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

BAS Renovations posted nothing new this week, but its wooden demonstration houses had plenty of work to do. The channel added about 10.5 million views and 20,000 subscribers, with the question of old versus new framing supplying its strongest daily momentum.

The framing-history video we covered here in October has grown well beyond its early audience. Using outdoor mock-ups, the builder moves from pegged timber joints to balloon framing's continuous studs, then to modern platform construction. He removes connections, demonstrates how fire can travel through open stud cavities, and nails on sheathing to show how it resists sideways distortion. This is construction history with consequences you can see.

His closing concern is less nostalgic than the opening question might suggest: "I would worry about a leak that was never fixed." Water sprayed onto the modern mock-up makes the point about the damage neglected flashing can leave hidden.

The porch demonstration is also drawing substantial daily viewing. Its description makes clear that some details are deliberately wrong for the lesson, rather than instructions to copy. Meanwhile, the channel's American-European homebuilding comparison continues to attract viewers months after publication.

Subscriber growth continues, though the week's gain was gentler than the past month's pace. Among nearby home-and-building channels, Stanley "Dirt Monkey" Genadek is having a particularly busy spell, with daily views more than double his usual level. BAS Renovations had the largest weekly views gain in this group, all from an archive that needed no fresh upload to keep the building lessons moving.
