Modustrial Maker's old workshop floor gets another look
Mike and contractor Andy Axtell's concrete restoration remains the archive's busiest video during an upload-free week.

Modustrial Maker is close to a million subscribers, but this was a week for the workshop archive rather than a new project. The channel added about 54,000 views with no fresh uploads, while its subscriber audience held steady at 996,000.
The busiest video right now is "Polishing 80-year old Concrete Floors (ep. 04)", in which Mike teams up with contractor and channel viewer Andy Axtell. Andy brings heavy grinding equipment from the Detroit area; Mike gets a supporting assignment spraying water during the first grinding pass. Restoring the floor means patching holes, reopening and filling cracks, and working through progressively finer diamond abrasives. By the finish, they've collected hundreds of pounds of concrete dust. Mike's verdict on the surface: "It almost feels like glass."
The recessed LED ceiling installation is another active corner of the archive. More recently, "Re-imagining my Favorite Build..." revisits Mike's arctic erosion table concept as a pocket door, with a laser-cut topographic lake filled with epoxy resin. The workshop gets its own little landscape.
Daily viewing across the channel is roughly in line with normal. Nearby DIY channels had larger weekly audiences, including substantial gains for 731 Woodworks and Homeworthy, but Modustrial Maker's week has its own pleasing continuity: the old floor, the flush lighting and the resin-filled door all belong to the ongoing business of making a workshop his own.
