Press to jump
- 0:05Begin with the chin and jawline on vertically positioned paper.
- 2:00Build the collar, neck muscles and ragged shirt edges beneath the head.
- 7:30Sketch the inner facial outline and lower bangs around the forehead.
- 11:15Add the nose and mouth before working on the eyes and furrowed brow at 13:30.
- 16:30Complete the front hair sections, then draw the large outer spikes from 19:00.
Where do you start drawing Goku: the eyes, or all that hair? Magic Pencil1 begins lower down, outlining the chin and jaw before building the neck, torn shirt and chest. The unmistakable spikes come much later.
The week's most watched new tutorial is a wordless demonstration, with only the artist's hand in view. Ears, nose and mouth gradually give the face its structure; the furrowed brow and intense eyes arrive before the sweeping outer hair spikes. It is a patient route to a character whose whole appearance suggests energy.
That Goku lesson has collected roughly 6,200 views, the largest total among the week's three uploads. Vegeta's Ultra Ego half-face tutorial had the stronger opening day, while the newest lesson, a half-face drawing of Ryomen Sukuna from Jujutsu Kaisen, is currently gathering views fastest. An older anime-boy pencil sketch also remains among the channel's active uploads.
Across the channel, the week brought about 1.5 million views and a modest subscriber gain, broadly in keeping with the past month's growth. Daily viewing is currently below its usual level. Nearby in the arts-and-crafts community, I_thriftflip had a more substantial subscriber increase, while Thomas Heaton's subscriber count was unchanged over the week.
Goku is familiar territory here: the channel's Ultra Instinct tutorial from January 2025 is its most watched regular video. The new lesson returns to that recognizable face without rushing straight to its most recognizable feature.
