A supermarket, a graveyard and 300 years of research keep ambiguousamphibian busy
No new uploads this week, so Rob's three latest 100-day-style challenges carry the channel, the Stellaris run now past 1.3 million views.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
I Played Supermarket Simulator for 100 Days...
"I Played Supermarket Simulator for 100 Days..." is the video doing the most work on ambiguousamphibian right now. It is thirteen days old and closing in on 800,000 views, on a channel where Rob, who signs off as AA or Ambi, has built his audience by living inside a game for a long, fixed stretch and seeing what comes out the other side.
Nothing new went up this week, so the recent run is carrying things. Behind the shop-stocking video sits "Can I Beat Graveyard Keeper 2 in 100 Days?", ten days old and edited by jomo5218, which takes the sequel to Lazy Bear Games' darkly comic undertaker sim through the same hundred-day format. A little further back is "I Spent 300 Years on Research in Stellaris," a month-old grand strategy marathon that has passed 1.3 million views and is still drawing a steady crowd. The tags suggest a full research rush.
With no new upload to bring people in, daily views are running somewhat below their usual level. Most of the strategy and simulation channels near AA's size are also a touch slower than normal, lilsimsie and OperatorDrewski among them. Oxhorn and PhlyDaily are having busier weeks than usual, and Ken's numbers sit in a different league altogether.
Three videos, three very different games: a checkout counter, a cemetery and a galaxy run by scientists.
