When Airsofter Tries Getting Revenge…
What does revenge look like on an airsoft field? In AirHard's "When Airsofter Tries Getting Revenge…", if the comment section is any guide, it looks like a player finally getting his hands on a lightsaber, only to find that someone else has already shot the person he wanted.
That moment is the most liked comment under the video by a wide margin. Other viewers replay a shout from the field, a player loudly asking who fired the shot, and the reaction of the one who did. Several also point at a player who has just raised his hand. In airsoft that is how you show you have been hit and are out of the game, which is why viewers expect him to be hit again anyway. One commenter adds a rules note: the BBs may look slow, but there is no minimum speed for a hit to count.
The short passed 850,000 views in a little over a day. A new upload here usually has a first day of around ten thousand. Likes came in more than thirteen times faster than on a usual first day, while the comment section stayed small.
AirHard is an editing channel. Its about text describes the clips as other players' footage reworked with its own editing and commentary, and each description credits the source, here xviroses. The "When Airsofter…" format keeps feeding itself: the Spidey Senses clip from two days earlier, the one with the grenade thrown straight back that we reported on here, has since passed 14 million views. A John Wick-themed clip posted the same day as the revenge short is past 200,000, and older uploads stirred too, among them a clip of a grenade landing on a player's back and a late-September video about an airsofter buying a Glock 17.
