Volodymyr Zelenskyy wants an in-person meeting with Vladimir Putin, with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan mediating, according to a roundup from Ukraine's Channel 24 (24 Канал). The Ukrainian president's position in the broadcast is that talks must not mean recognizing Russian ownership of occupied Ukrainian territory.
Presenter Oleksii Dushka places that diplomatic proposal alongside a broader argument: Moscow faces mounting economic and military pressure, while Democratic victories in the US congressional elections could change Washington's approach to Ukraine. The program combines studio commentary, archive speeches, news articles and battlefield maps rather than reporting a single meeting in Moscow.
Its original title is "⚡СРОЧНОЕ совещание в Москве! Путин и Лавров В УЖАСЕ от новостей из США. Кремлю теперь КОНЕЦ? ЛУЧШЕЕ", meaning "Urgent meeting in Moscow! Putin and Lavrov horrified by news from the US. Is this the end for the Kremlin? Best of." Those descriptions of the Russian leaders' reactions are the program's framing.
The US section shows Donald Trump with a red "VETO" cap and includes footage of Michigan senator-elect Abdul El-Sayed. Citing Newsweek, Dushka considers whether the incoming Congress could strengthen assistance to Kyiv and scrutinize Trump's dealings with Moscow. These are possible consequences discussed in the broadcast, not measures already enacted.
On negotiations, Zelenskyy argues that a formal telephone conversation cannot substitute for meeting personally to end the war. The program also discusses Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov's account of contacts with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Later, Dushka reports Vladimir Medinsky's appointment to lead Russia's negotiating group in Abu Dhabi, while arguing that Moscow intends to prolong the conflict and maintain pressure on Ukraine's electricity system.
Fuel supplies provide the economic thread. The broadcast says New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill blocked a proposed Russian diesel shipment to the United States. It then links Ukrainian drone strikes on the Kstovo and Novokuibyshevsk refineries to gasoline shortages and filling-station queues in Russia's Nizhny Novgorod region. Separately, it reports that tighter Kazakh border weight checks have delayed component deliveries into Russia.
The closing sections cite Bloomberg reporting on possible delays to Russian military payments and a widening budget gap. They also discuss reported European hockey boycotts over Russia's participation and the death of Novichok developer Vladimir Uglev. For the battlefield assessment, Dushka cites Western intelligence reporting on heavy Russian casualties and an Institute for the Study of War map that he presents as showing Ukrainian territorial gains exceeding Russia's during October.
Russia’s foreign minister since 2004, he is the country’s longest-serving holder of that office since the Tsarist era.
