A doctor's cameraman trick, and the coworker vlogs that keep it company
With no new upload, Zeliha Akpinar's channel took in about 600,000 views over seven days, carried by an April short and two films with a fellow doctor.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
How I fake having a cameraman 😙
Zeliha Akpinar, the UK doctor whose channel mixes productivity, hospital life and what she calls memories, posted nothing new over the past seven days. The channel kept busy anyway, pulling in roughly 600,000 views and running well above its usual daily pace.
Most of that comes from the same place as before. "How I fake having a cameraman 😙", a short from April, is still the channel's liveliest video by a wide margin, now past two million views and gathering them faster than anything else she has up. It is a neat little reveal for a vlogger: the polished, someone-else-is-filming look, done alone.
Behind it sit two videos with her doctor coworker. "My Final Day in Oxford with my Doctor Coworker", posted last month, has already passed two and a half million views, and the earlier "I Went Out for Food with my Doctor Coworker..." is approaching three and a half million and still adding to it. The colleague has clearly become a fixture of the channel's biggest moments.
Among vlog channels of her size it was a middling week. Operation Niki had a very big few days, emily ha and Nathaly Cuevas ran well ahead of their usual pace, and Ava Jules stayed steady at a higher level. Kira Kosarin was quieter than usual, and Akpinar's subscriber count held where it was.
