Roman Reigns has just cleared the ring with a Superman Punch to Royce Keys when a man in a ski mask steps through the ropes holding a steel chair. Reigns goes down, the mask comes off, and a commentator shouts, "Oh, oh my God! That's Cruz Montana!"

WWE's clip from the November 2 Raw has drawn about 1.3 million views since yesterday. It is a scripted storyline, and it builds patiently. First comes a face-off between Reigns' Bloodline and The 946, then an argument in the center of the ring, then a full brawl. Reigns appears to have won the exchange until the chair arrives.

What follows is a beatdown. A female member of The 946 brings handcuffs into the ring to restrain one of Reigns' allies, someone yells "Ain't nobody safe!", and the clip closes with Montana choking and taunting the fallen Reigns while his new group stands over the wreckage.

The comments came in about twenty times faster than on a usual first day for the channel's regular uploads. The most popular joke is that The 946 will keep recruiting until it matches its name. Many viewers recognize Montana from his years in TNA and as half of LAX, and say they never saw this move coming. Others are already writing the next chapter: some call for WarGames, one doing it in William Regal's voice, and many predict a return by Jacob Fatu. A smaller moment has its own fans, too: Carmelo Hayes stomping on opponents, which one viewer likens to the hopping Pixar lamp.

WWE also cut the reveal into a Short, "946 keeps growing," and put the segment in its Top 10 of the night.

Ngl. That lineup in 946 honestly is deadly and can work. They all got the look. This better not be a one off after war games. 946 need to be the next big faction rn.
