Terrible Lizards makes its "herbivore" a tunnel-chase nightmare
VVolfShorts' gameplay clip has viewers debating the dinosaur's appetite and the wisdom of looking back.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 88,526 views a day, 31 times a normal first day on this channel (2,875).
THEY STARVED AN HERBIVORE DINOSAUR 😭 #shorts
"Stop screaming and start moving!" the player tells himself, with a long-necked creature pursuing him through an underground tunnel. It is sensible advice. Following it proves harder.
The Terrible Lizards chase on VVolfShorts has drawn around 68,000 views in 14 hours, already far beyond the few thousand a Short on this channel usually receives on its first day. The clips channel has posted another dinosaur encounter recently, but this one builds its joke around a supposedly plant-eating animal showing a very personal interest in the player.
The title calls it a starved herbivore. Viewers aren't taking that explanation for granted: some discuss whether plant-eating animals sometimes eat meat, while others suggest the creature is undead or something stranger. Those are competing readings of a game monster, not a settled account of what it is.
The chase itself supplies the more immediate problem. Looking back reveals just how close the creature is; looking ahead means finding a route through wooden platforms and tunnels. Several comments focus on how difficult it is to see where to go, while others make comparisons with Primal and Temple Run.
At one point, the player declares, "I've absolutely dusted him." The clip still has a set of doors, a dynamite objective and another very close encounter to get through.

The numbers
The dinosaur clip has already exceeded VVolfShorts' usual full-day Shorts views. Its comment section is also much busier than a typical first day.
