A custom diamond grill needs delivering to Odell Beckham Jr. in Las Vegas, and Johnny Dang makes the trip himself. VICE's only new upload this week, "Icing Out Celebs With America's Diamond Boy | House Of Dang Episode 1", follows the jeweler through a schedule that takes him from Houston to Los Angeles and across the desert to Vegas.

The episode has drawn roughly 89,000 views. Its pleasures are in the working details behind the sparkle: Dang delivers a diamond chain to rapper EBK Jaaybo, fits clients for grills and takes molds for Millyz at the CHAMPS trade show. His bodyguard Big Mike supplies a different sort of tension when the itinerary includes high-rise hotel elevators and his fear of heights comes along for the ride.

Dang also reflects on arriving from Vietnam as a young jeweler. "When we have opportunity, we have to work hard, fight for it, and not stop working," he says. Viewers are particularly quick to question the description's presentation of him as a new arrival to celebrity jewelry, pointing instead to his long-established Houston reputation.

VICE added about 2.9 million views across the week, while its subscriber count stayed unchanged. Daily viewing is currently more than twice its usual pace, a different picture from nearby documentary channels BBC Earth and WIRED, both running below their normal daily levels.

The older Jeff Jarrett installment of Dark Side of the Ring remains VICE's busiest upload by daily views. House Of Dang sits between that wrestling documentary and the Jason Miller episode of Dark Side of the Cage, giving the channel's active viewing a new stop outside the ring.
