Two Bit Da Vinci takes the solar questions on Undecided
The guest-hosted perovskite episode examines manufacturing, long-term performance and the limits of efficiency records.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
The Hidden Problem With the World's Most Efficient Solar Panel
A familiar voice on the wrong channel was enough to make viewers check what they'd clicked. Two Bit Da Vinci hosted Undecided with Matt Ferrell's only new upload, and the unexpected introduction became a running joke in the comments.
"The Hidden Problem With the World's Most Efficient Solar Panel" has reached roughly 307,000 views. Its subject is perovskite solar technology, with chapters moving from efficiency figures to manufacturing, four-terminal architecture and long-term performance. There is an advertising segment too, alongside the technical discussion.
The guest appearance supplied the comedy, but viewers also picked up the practical question behind the efficiency headlines: what matters more, capturing more sunlight from each panel or paying less for each watt? Several commenters argued that, where space isn't tight, cheaper conventional panels can matter more than a new efficiency record.
The channel's subscriber count stayed unchanged over the week, while daily views are running at less than half their usual level. Among nearby science channels, Beyond the Observable Universe had a particularly substantial viewing week; Animagraffs and Destiny had smaller weekly gains than Undecided.
The strongest daily momentum here belongs to "Solar Panels Are Doing Something Nobody Expected," the solar-farm-and-rainfall exploration covered earlier. It has now passed 1.6 million views. The new perovskite episode follows it in daily viewing, with "The World's Largest Air Battery Just Switched On" keeping compressed-air storage in the conversation as well.

For many of us efficiency makes no difference because we have the room. Price per Watt is more important. I can use more panels and be comfortable that the good old panels will last.
We love seeing new efficiency records, but in reality it doesn't matter as long as you pay a hefty premium for it. Efficient solar is great, but cheap solar is greater. You just have to build more of it.

@elnadimSee it on YouTubeI started playing this, but went immediately to look at another screen (since I'm working) and got very confused why Matt's voice sounded so different... but still familiar... then read the name Two Bit Da Vinci and was like **HEY, I KNOW THAT DUDE!** lolol. This should be a fun video.
@dave-bet-techSee it on YouTubeI love it when my science Tuesday teachers get together. Now just need to get Grady.
