Recess was the main event. Tyler Vitelli makes the point from inside a playground slide at the start of "Dumb Things I Did During Recess," a 22-minute storytime that drew more than 900,000 views in its first 13 hours.
The slide is part of the story. In third grade, he says, he and his friend Jake hid inside a twisty tube slide for 45 minutes to avoid a multiplication test, and the school went looking for them. When they reappeared, Jake offered their entire defense: "We got lost." The result was a week without recess and the same test the next day, which both of them failed. Tyler's moral: "in a friend group, at least one of you has to not be dumb."
The rest of the video suggests nobody took that job. A swing-jumping contest ends with tape around the swings and a sign threatening detention. A video convinces Jake that a hole could reach China, so the pair dig with plastic spoons until they are six feet down and Jake is stuck. Tyler's way of telling a teacher is a flat "Excuse me, Jake's in a hole." There is also a tetherball plan built on dodging, a Heads Up, Seven Up cheat that depends on memorizing classmates' toenails, and a kickball on the roof that turns out not to be alone up there. Photo collages and reenactments illustrate each memory.
School is home ground for Tyler. His most watched regular videos include "School Drills Are DUMB.." and a storytime about a real lockdown, and his about page promises "bingeable stories weekly" alongside daily Shorts. This is the weekly story, and a cut-down Shorts version went up the same day.
After 13 hours, the comment section was already busier than his usual full first day, and much of it reads like a shared yearbook. Viewers trade their own recess sagas, from forts built out of cones and jump ropes to stick-and-leaf kingdoms run over walkie-talkies, and several point to the creak of the swings at the six-minute mark.
His last elementary recess gets the final stretch: a secret water-balloon ambush on the teachers, nearly given away when a classmate tells one that tomorrow is "Summer." Tyler ranks it among the three best days of his life, next to reaching a million subscribers. He starts to name the third as the day he got his first girlfriend, then takes it back. That, he says, still hasn't happened.

Once when it was playtime (recess) my class got full bottles of water and were flinging water all over eachother, someone waited around a corner to get me. When the teachers found out we got in trouble and had to clean the bathroom bc there was muddy water everywhere and the cleaners shouldnt have to clean that. No regrets i told my parents and they didnt even care, that day was so fun

So there was a little woods that we could play in at school. In my fifth grade year we created KINGDOMS out of sticks and leaves. There were wars. Shops. Hierarchy. One of the wars was between two forts called green dome and fort legendary. It was insane. People even brought walkie talkies to communicate with each other. It ended when someone in fort legendary found the channel that green dome used, realized they were planning an ambush, readied our defense(yes there were guards), went over to green dome during the ambush, took the MAIN SUPPORTING STICK of the fort, and stuck it in …@ThatFunnyFrog-z8uRead it all on YouTubeHow he was like mehhh ill just do something else hits hard😂

In the classroom game Heads Up, Seven Up, what do players do when they are tapped?
Seated players hide their eyes with a thumb raised, and those who are tapped put their thumb down, then later try to guess who tapped them.
