Trish Regan shares a California exodus cartoon with a bite
A family's fictional move through Texas to Florida gives Regan a fast-starting Short built around a partisan migration joke.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 702,086 views a day, 8.8 times a normal first day on this channel (80,081).
This is great….🤣
What happens when the moving truck leaves California but the family's voting habits come along? That's the premise of the animated satire Trish Regan introduces in "This is great….🤣", which drew an estimated 700,000 views in its first day, nearly nine times her usual Shorts opening.
The cartoon follows a Democratic-voting family frustrated by vandalism, expensive gas and a tent encampment outside their home. They relocate to Texas, where the father promptly votes Democratic again. The neighborhood instantly acquires the same problems they left behind. That's the cartoon's political argument, delivered through an exaggerated before-and-after gag.
Florida is their next destination. When they arrive announcing an intention to fix the state, a giant alligator swallows their RV. Regan responds: "Bingo! Florida doesn't mess around."
This is a reaction to a satirical animation, not footage of an actual family's move. The featured cartoon carries an @DrClownPhD watermark.
The Short's unusually fast start contrasts with Regan's channel-wide daily views, which remain below their usual pace. Alongside her longer discussions of Stephen Miller's appointment and the congressional election aftermath, this upload compresses its message into a moving truck, a ballot and an alligator.
