Toni and Ryan untangle a wrong-floor hospital confession
A listener's very literal account of sleeping beside a stranger drew roughly twenty times the Short's usual opening audience.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 258,854 views a day, 20 times a normal first day on this channel (12,866).
ACCIDENTALLY SLEPT WITH A STRANGER? 😱😂
It was a nap. That distinction matters in Toni and Ryan's latest listener confession, which begins with a hospital visit and wording that suggests quite a different story.
Ryan Jon reads a submission from a listener who went to visit her dad after his heart attack. Tired from a long shift, she sat beside a sleeping patient wearing a CPAP mask, held his arm and fell asleep herself.
The problem wasn't just the wrong room. She was on the wrong floor.
When the patient woke up, neither knew who the other was. The listener eventually made her way downstairs to her actual father's room, leaving behind a stranger who had unexpectedly acquired a bedside visitor.
The excerpt drew about 259,000 views in its first day, far beyond the podcast's usual Short opening. In the comments, viewers keep returning to the wording: several describe initially understanding "slept with" in its other sense, before realizing the confession meant exactly what it said.

This did not go the way I thought it was going to go because of the intro to the story, but I’m glad it went the way it went! 😂❤
