Mark Zuckerberg's 'Muse Charm' fills The Verge's Meta Connect week

Lisa from Blackpink turned up with smartglasses plans, and a day-old Vergecast with former PlayStation boss Shuhei Yoshida is the channel's quickest mover.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Meta Connect took over The Verge. Fifteen uploads went up, and the six most watched all circle the same event: glasses, an AI assistant called Muse, and Mark Zuckerberg holding up a little handheld he calls the Muse Charm, pitched as an alternative to wearing a computer on your face. That short clip is the week's big total, past 300,000 views and still ticking along.

The rest is a newsroom working one story from every side. Victoria Song and Jay Peters filed hands-on impressions of the audio-only Ray-Bans and the new glasses lineup. Lisa from Blackpink, the Thai-born member of the K-pop group, appeared to announce two pairs of smartglasses made with Meta. Two Vergecast episodes chewed it all over, one under a title that reads almost like surprise: "Meta's Muse actually does the thing." That episode and its short cutdown are both still drawing a steady stream.

The freshest energy comes from somewhere else entirely. A day-old Vergecast with Shuhei Yoshida, who spent decades at Sony PlayStation, asks where gaming goes as games get pricier to make and to buy. It is moving faster than anything from the Meta week.

Among similar tech channels, The Verge sits seventh of nine by subscribers. CarterPCs is the one having an outsized week, running well above its already enormous usual pace.
