AirPods 5 at a Renaissance fair, and Shawn's smart glasses
ShortCircuit's Apple earbud test, complete with a trip across the Fraser River, passed a third of a million views in six days.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
How Can Apple Keep Doing This - AirPods 5
Among tech review channels of similar size, ShortCircuit sits right in the middle, fifth of nine by subscribers. Around it, Hayls World is running above its usual daily pace, while Bitwit is running a good deal slower than normal.
Linus Media Group's unboxing channel posted five videos, and the biggest total belongs to "How Can Apple Keep Doing This - AirPods 5." The description promises a journey across the Fraser River, and the chapters include a stop at a Renaissance fair, sandwiched between frequency response tests and a head-to-head with the AirPods 4.
The freshest energy is elsewhere. "The smartest glasses - RayNeo iO," billed as another ShawnCircuit, has Shawn wearing glasses with an invisible display, live captions and a teleprompter mode, and at three days old it is the channel's most-watched video on a daily basis. The Khadas Mind Pro, a mini PC that can turn into a laptop or a gaming rig, follows close behind.
Further back sit a funky EasySMX controller with its own little screen and a budget PC build around the NZXT S5 case, the quietest of the five.
