The Overlap, Gary Neville's football channel, spent the week where English football spent it: on Manchester City. Fifteen videos went up, and the one that drew the biggest crowd was the first of them, a short on reports that City had been found guilty in their 115-charge case. Six days on, it is past 900,000 views.

The follow-ups kept the subject going. One short is built around a guest's prediction that City will get relegated. In another, the football finance lecturer Kieran Maguire talks about how serious the case could get. The newest clip is lighter: Jamie Carragher, who never won the Premier League as a player, welcoming City's squad to his "exclusive club". Barely a day old, it is gathering views faster than anything else on the channel.

The long formats had their own guests. Sean Dyche sat down with Carragher and a room of fans for the Fan Debate, talking about his Nottingham Forest exit, the thinking behind Arsenal's corners and his frustrations with VAR. The Green Room went behind the scenes with Neville, Roy Keane, Ian Wright and Jill Scott, where Keane called the setting around Manchester United's players on matchdays a circus. Andy Robertson also dropped by to look ahead to a return to Anfield in a Spurs shirt, and in a separate short he disagrees with the idea that Trent can't defend.

The channel is drawing well above its usual daily views. Among similar football channels, Sky Sports News and FOX Soccer are also running far above their normal pace, while AFTV and Tifo are steady.
